"Hello! I am Chantal, a 56 years Swiss-French woman, living in Geneva since 2004, Vaud 1976-2004. Atlantide (Tortue de Floride, Chrysemis picta) was my pet since 1996 to 2004 (Now older son's home). He is a very communicative one! "

Describe the kinds of turtles or tortoises you keep or have kept as pets. How are they housed and fed? Have any of them produced offspring while in your care? Do you have any questions, or can you offer advice, about their care?

"Atlantide is a Tortue de Floride. Male. 15 years old. At (son) David's home since december 2004. First he eated salad, prawns, dry litle fishes, cat's food and some times special prepared food with gela. Now he eats only dry food for turtles and cat's food. He never produced offspring. One time I put a younger female in his aquarium: He killed her in the night!"

Are you mostly interested in keeping turtles and/or tortoises as pets, or in preserving their habitats to assure their survival in the wild? Are you interested in other reptiles, amphibians or other animals? What other specific interests do you have?

"Yes! I am interesting in many others but first Turtles and tortoises. Help regional first, help others centers on holidays second. I could help at a.m. one a week, one week-end a month. Some holidays time."
